Junior Leadership Team (JLT)
Our Junior Leadership Team (JLT) is made up of representatives from each class. Every child has the opportunity to stand for JLT where they prepare a speech to deliver to their classmates and staff. Children are then elected using a voting system to teach about democracy. Once elected, the JLT members work closely with Miss Allott to support the Senior Leadership Team in decisions that impact the children. They meet regularly and lead assemblies on key issues such as anti-bullying and recycling.
Anti-bullying week
This week, our Junior Leadership Team (JLT) and Year 6 House Captains proudly introduced Anti-Bullying Week to the whole school. The theme for this year is “Power for Good”, encouraging every pupil to use their actions and words to make a positive difference.
During the assembly, the JLT and House Captains spoke about what it means to be a kind and supportive friend. They shared simple ways everyone can show kindness—such as including others, listening, and speaking up when someone needs help.
All pupils are encouraged to remember that even small acts of kindness have the power for good and help make our school a safe, happy, and welcoming place for everyone.
