MISS ALLOTT

Welcome to Year 1!

Hello, my name is Miss Allott, and this is my third year at Thomas Reade. I have the pleasure of teaching Year 1! I went to Brighton University and enjoyed living by the seaside for three years. In my spare time I like to meet my friends and enjoy going for walks along the Ridgeway. 

We are looking forward to a wonderful year of fun and learning with you. Below is some information that might be useful to you.

In Year 1, PE lessons take place on Mondays and Thursdays with Mrs Moulster. On these days, your child should come to school wearing their PE kit, which should include:

• Trainers
• Shorts or jogging bottoms
• School PE top
• School PE jumper

• Reading in Year 1

  Your child is in the reading group- Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Hansel and Gretel, The Princess and the Frog, The Three Little Pigs, Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood. 

  Your child needs to bring their bookbag every day for reading.

  Your child’s book will be changed on a Tuesday until the end of term 2 (December holidays) because of forest school.

  Miss Allott hears all children read in their groups on a Thursday.
